The kit lets you attach up to a 3.5-horsepower motor to the rear of your Intex boat, so you can rest your paddling arms and float in comfort. The mount--which is made of marine plywood with aluminum support arms--attaches and detaches easily, so you don't have to spend a half hour fussing with the components each time you want to use the motor. Plus, the mount disassembles quickly when you return back home for easy storage in your garage or closet.

Roger Brownlee" (Bowie, MD United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase Mine just arrived today, when I put it together I noticed that the holes in the wooden board that the motor attaches to are a little bigger than the washers provided. If you try to tighten the nuts the washers sink down into the board therefore not serving their purpose. I had to go to the hardware store to get bigger washers to fit. May be just mine but just thought you should know before you take it out. You may have to get bigger washers....I got a set of regular washers. It uses bolts with sturdy thumb type screws and your done. Also, can't go wrong with good solid marine plywood. In the end, its a motor mount and it does what it is designed to do for the intex boats. Holds that little Minn Kota Endura 30 really good. The mount can accept a 3.5hp but on the Excursion boats you can only put up to a 1.5hp or up to 18 lbs motor weight.
