5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing workout!, October 6, 2010
So first let me start by saying that I live in Africa, buy at least half a dozen things on Amazon each week (from peanut butter to elliptical machines), and I've never bothered to put a review on anything before.... give you a hint on my opinion about the rollers? These things are amazing... I almost didn't buy them, because I ride a 17" mountain bike with 29" wheels... and my husband's 29er has a 23" frame... almost the biggest bike out there... so I wasn't too sure if this purchase would be worth it.... but wow... it is! There were almost no reviews out there about the use of these rollers with mountain bikes and large wheels... so first let me say that I bought the 4.5" complete roller set, and it works just fine with both our bikes.... yes, it does make a loud whirring noise from the heavy tread on the rollers, and maybe it'll wear our tires out sooner than they would on the trails, but it's worth it for a number of reasons:
1. I can ride at home when my kids are still... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars The only rollers to buy, November 12, 2009
By
Kreitler's are the only rollers worth buying. Kreitler rollers have none of the problems other rollers do: they are aligned perfectly, have smooth round rollers, are solidly built and sturdy, and are quiet. After about 15 yrs, the drive belt split and Kreitler honored their lifetime warranty and sent a replacement promptly. Also strongly recommend the Killer Headwind Fan - it provides a hellacious workout and the breeze is really nice! Built really well, Kreitler rollers are expensive, will last a lifetime, and are worth every penny!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Rollers, September 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Kreitler 4.5in Complete Roller Set (Misc.)
At first I thought these may not end up being worth what they cost, but I was very wrong. They're machined perfectly and they must have some very good bearings cause they spin very smoothly. They're quieter than I thought they were going to be too.

Also, rollers aren't as hard as they're made out to be. After about five minutes on them I felt comfortable and now I can ride them constantly for more than an hour without a second thought. Don't let the (small) learning curve keep you away from using them. These are really a great set of rollers.
