I really like the Scanguage, and use it primarily to compete with myself for MPG ratings on my work commute. It has lots of features I haven't even explored yet. The Blendmount works great for me by neatly keeping the Scangauge mounted right above the rearview mirror. I'd caution everyone considering the blendmount to check their mirror stem since the Blendmount only came with two different sized round clamps to attach it to the stem that attaches the mirror to the windshield. (You'll also likely need the ethernet extension to make the full route from your OBD port to the mirror.) 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By Rich M (The Villages, Florida) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: ScanGauge II & BlendMount Combo I used the BlendMount to install the ScanGuage on my 2009 smart car. I shortened the mounting bracket and drilled an additional hole, closer in, to mount the bracket to the spacer, all very easy. The ScanGauge works very well and due to the fact you can "tune" it, it becomes very accurate. It is much more accurate than the factory ones in my Buick and Lexus, not to mention that it does many more things than the factory computers. I ran the cable under the dash, under and up the windshield pillar trim, under and across the windshield header panel, and out by the rear view mirror mount to the ScanGauge. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: ScanGauge II & BlendMount Combo I installed the ScanGauge II in my 2010 KIA Soul using the BlendMount mirror bracket. I installed the unit under the mirror and ran the Cat-5 cable under the headliner and inside the A-Pillar trim for a professional looking installation. The ScanGauge II and BlendMount can be purchased as a package from Amazon.com for a little over $200. You just can't go wrong at that price. The shipping was fast and the packaging was excellent. Let's take a look at each item:The BlendMount mirror bracket is well engineered and looks great. You have several mounting options and the bracket itself is easily adjustable. Blendmount provides a very nice kit with excellent instructions. All of the materials are "top shelf" - absolutely no skimping on quality. Some of my friends use BlendMount products for mounting their radar detectors to their car mirrors with great success. I have heard from many individuals that BlendMount Customer Service is outstanding. The ScanGauge II is... Read more |
